This subject is fun but it is also challenging. It is tricky but once you have understand it, you can apply them in your reading. This will help you to enhance your reading skills. You will be able to locate the main idea and the topic of a writing. Madam Nisa really helps us a lot and she is a happy-go-lucky lecturer.
In my opinion, the topics that I find difficult is the contextual clues and implied main idea. They need more practice and thorough reading.
For the assignments, we need to do two reflective writing journal and a video presentation. The assignments help me to understand some world issues and spread awareness through written works.
I think my mid-term result for reading is unsatisfying. I didn't get 3/4 of the full marks and it is my own fault for not doing more practice before the exam. I promise myself that I will improve in the final exam!
This is some of my notes for the topic 'Roots and Affixes'. Madam Nisa gave us some documents and videos to watch and take notes for this topic. This topic challenges our vocabulary. I often use the Oxford's Learners Dictionary to check the words when doing exercises.

This is some of my notes for the topic 'Reference and Signal Words'. I like this topic because it is quite easy to understand. However, in the examination, this topic can be quite tricky, so we need to read the question thoroughly and understand it.
For the topics about main ideas, we answered the question in the textbook and check it during classes via Google Meet. Madam Nisa will ask the answers and we will discuss them together such as, why the answer is this and why you can't answer it like that

This is one of the articles that we use for our reflective journal writing. The article is interesting because it talks about the education during this COVID-19 pandemic.
